K9 International Exercise and Simulation of Armed Attack at NORDCITY Parking House
On October 19, 2024, an international training exercise for dog handlers and service dogs will take place on the roof of the NORDCITY parking house in Žilina. As part of this exercise, there will also be a simulation of an armed attack in realistic conditions.
Units from Belgium, Germany, Poland, Hungary and invited teams from the Municipal Police and the Police Force of the Slovak Republic (PZ SR) will participate in the training.
During the exercise, parking will only be available up to the 8th floor, as the simulation will be conducted on the roof.
The exercise focuses on the use of service dogs in challenging conditions, addressing various crisis scenarios, including the detention of an armed offender.
Gunshots and sirens may be heard during the simulation, which could result in increased noise. For safety reasons and to ensure the smooth operation of the exercise, we kindly ask the public to respect the safety measures in place.
This international exercise aims to enhance inter-unit cooperation and improve preparedness for real-world crisis situations.
